Get Shift Done: Tips and Tricks

It seems like just about every day there’s news about an online service getting hacked. If you log into your Dropbox account and get a feeling something funny’s going on, there’s an easy way to check to see if your account is still secure.

Click on your avatar in the upper-right side of the screen and then click on Settings in the drop down menu.

Next, choose the Security tab from the Settings options.

Scroll down to the Sessions section of the screen.

In this section you will see all of the browsers that have signed into your Dropbox account and from where. Look for browsers you don’t use or locations you haven’t visited.

If you hover over the i icon (information icon) you can get more specific information about the location of the login.

Also, look under the Most recent activity column and be sure to hover over the information icon, as well. You can see the exact time the account was used and the IP address.

If everything looks okay, scroll down to the Devices section and look for anything suspicious.

If you think your account has been hacked, click the X to the right of any unknown device to unlink it, change your password and then contact customer service.
