Get Shift Done: Tips and Tricks

Taking photos of receipts, business cards and documents with your phone can be a great way to make a digital copy without running to a scanner. If you want to make sure that your digital copies are safe however, backing up to Dropbox is a smart idea. Here’s how.

Open the Dropbox app on your phone and click on the Menu icon in the upper left side of the screen.

Next, tap on Settings icon.

Then, choose Turn on camera uploads from the menu.

If you already have a computer linked to your app, then that’s all you need to do. From now on photos you take with your phone will automatically be uploaded to your Dropbox account.

If you don’t have a camera linked, the app will run you through the process with some simple, on-screen instructions.

Now, remember, all of your photos will be uploaded. So, I recommend only using this tip with a phone that is dedicated to work if you don’t want personal photos ending up in your Dropbox.

Want to turn off photo uploads? Go through the steps again and tap on Turn off camera uploads.
